Nassau
is the most highly populated city of the Bahamas with over 2/3
of the 255,000 Bahamian people living here. It serves as the
capital. The island of New Providence, on which Nassau is located,
often looses its identy and the whole island is often called
Nassau. The city has a number of marinas but many sailboats anchor
in the area marked as "Club Med" or in front of the
various marinas.
